Subramania Bharati

Subramania Bharati came to Pondicherry in 1908 as a political exile from British India. The years he spent here were among his most prolific — poems, essays, and the voice of a language waking. Bharathi Park and Bharathi Street still carry his name.

A King bed, a two-seater sofa and a single seat, a coffee table, a study table and chair, pantry, wardrobe, a traditional fountain, a private Jacuzzi, and a street-facing balcony. The shower is attached. A room with a desk, and quiet enough to write.
