Heritage Deluxe
Pierre Benoît Dumas governed Pondichéry from 1735 to 1741. He gained Karaikal for the French, won the right to mint coin, and laid the first stones of the Governor’s Palace. Rue Dumas still carries his name.
The room looks onto the courtyard through a balcony. Inside: a Queen bed, two single seats and a centre table, a study table and chair, pantry, wardrobe, and a traditional fountain. The shower is attached. Space enough to sit, write, and stay.
