Aayi is the woman Pondicherry still thanks for water. When the French town had only salt wells, her tank fed the city. Napoleon III ordered the white monument in her name — Aayi Mandapam, at the heart of Bharathi Park.

This courtyard room holds a Queen bed, two single seats, a centre table, a writing desk, and a traditional fountain — a small echo of the well she left the town. A balcony faces inward to the central courtyard. The shower is attached.
